PRIVACY POLICY FOR MOBILE APPLICATION "ROUTE"
This Privacy Policy governs your use of the software application Route
(the "Application", package name pl.biolante.shortcut) for Android mobile devices.
Route is a mobile Android application designed to help you create, customize, save, and launch shortcuts from your device home screen. Shortcuts can point to apps, app activities, app URIs, websites, phone calls, SMS messages, email drafts, maps, files, media actions, Android settings, sharing actions, or custom Android intents.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
User-provided information
The Application does not require user registration and does not require you to create an account.
The Application does not ask you to submit personal profile information in order to use its core shortcut creation functionality.
Depending on the shortcuts you choose to create, you may enter or select information such as shortcut names, website URLs, app URIs, phone numbers, SMS text, email addresses, email content, map queries, file references, sharing text, custom intent actions, custom intent data, categories, components, packages, and text extras.
In-app choices and local app state
The Application stores shortcut configuration and app settings locally on your device so that your shortcuts can be displayed, edited, launched, and recreated when needed.
To help you choose shortcut targets and icons, the Application may read information about installed apps that Android makes available to it, such as app names, package names, launch activities, public intent filters, and app icons. This information is used locally to build your shortcuts.
The Application may use Android system pickers when you choose contacts, files, documents, or custom icon images. The Application only receives the item you select through the picker. For file shortcuts or custom icon images, Android may grant the Application permission to read the selected file or image so the shortcut can continue to work.
This information is processed locally on your device by the Application and is not stored on a first-party remote server controlled by the Application publisher.
Automatically collected information
The Application does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking. It does not automatically collect information about you and does not automatically send any information to the Application publisher or to third parties.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
The Application publisher does not provide a first-party backend that receives your shortcuts, local app settings, or usage history, and the Application does not sell or share your information for advertising or tracking.
When you launch a shortcut, Android and the target app or system component may receive the information required to perform the action, such as a URL, URI, phone number, email address, file reference, share text, or custom intent data. This is necessary for the shortcut to work and is controlled by the Android system and the selected target app or component.
What are my choices and opt-out rights?
- You can stop using the Application at any time and remove local app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the Application.
Data retention policy, managing your information
First-party data used by the Application is processed locally on your device. The Application publisher does not maintain a first-party online account database or first-party cloud storage for your shortcuts or app usage.
If you want to remove locally stored Application data, you can do so by clearing the app's data or by uninstalling the Application from your device.
Security
We are concerned about safeguarding information processed locally on your mobile device. The Application relies on Android platform security and the Application's private app storage where applicable.
Please be aware that no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You should keep your device and Android operating system up to date and install Application updates when available.
Children
The Application is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to the Application publisher, please use the contact details below.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes become effective when they are posted on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
Your consent
By using the Application, you consent to the processing described in this Privacy Policy, namely local on-device processing by the Application.
